Dear 2I
It has been an engaging week to kick start the year with all of you with this exercise of creating this class blog. I have just encountered my first trouble with blogging.
My entire post was deleted before I could publish.
So here I am, writing this post again.
So, you may want to save your post next time before publishing.
Anyway, I believe this journey of blogging may bring us some IT angsts, but for its benefits of bringing us closer, we shall bear with some of these inconveniece.
Also, since this is a 'Perfect English' blog ( citing from a 2D student's blog), I hope this exercise will imbue in you the habit of editing your work.
Please check each post before pubishing. If not, your friends are obliged to comment on your grammar and spelling.
And when that happens, please take no offense

It is about Nokia 'Senior Future Specialist' Timo Vekkola and The Future Lab'Trends Director' Tom Savigar discusses the future of blogging in .
( You will need an audio device in order to listen to the podcast interview).

hmm.... i'm the first i guess.
i think that blogging isn't going to be big in the future simply because most boys don't do it, some girls don't do it, and when we grow up to young adults, i think most of us won't even have the time. So sorry to crush your dreams, but i think blogging will remain the same, with the same popularity amongst people in the near future.

I am not really sure whether blogging will remain the same or evolve in the future. It really depends on the way different people think and feel about blogging. Blogging may be a need or a want, again, it depends on the different people. The older generation, the elderly, may feel that blogging is not a necessity and a waste of time. But on the other hand, the younger generation such as teenagers, may decide that blogging is actually an interesting way of expressing one's thoughts or keeping in touch with friends and family. Therefore, I personally feel that the future of blogging lies in the way of how the younger generation think and feel about blogging. If they look at blogging positively, the future of blogging may eventually become successful and evolve to be more advanced to suit more needs. However, if they look at it negatively, which is not likely, the future of blogging will probably remain the same as now.

I placed my comments here, lest it's very confusing if I put it at the top.( anyway, Nathaniel, I AM FIRST!!>.<)

Firstly, the video's a bit unclear... But I still managed to point out some idea about what they are talking about. I agree that blogs are used for expression of speech, and reporting on the spot.

However, I find that the guy on the left side of the video isn't doing much. I guess he's new in Nokia..>.<

Anyway, over-using blogs reduce interactivity.... That is why we shouldn't be using it almost every time...

Blogs are fun, I agree. Obviously, it's more engaging than some journal...

On the contrary, i kinda agree with nat. Guys wouldn't normally bother 2 blog lol...(well most of em)coz maybe playing computer games etc..Gals rather have more time and kinda shy so they post their thoughts on the blog and most of em only allow other gals to read em??..(most of the time so.)Yea, and blogging is only done by mostly youth and young adults. Most adults by now have most likely no idea on blogging or just don't find the time to do so. In any case blogging will remain popular among youth who find time to post and read others' blogs. So i feel blogging is mostly done for fun not really for stuff like schoolwork or work related stuff although maybe a friendly debate will be fine if not i feel really bored when i read blogs like this(no offence..)especially work (schoolwork)related stuff. Ms Neo i hope u r satisfied =)

Alright then, let's get down to business. I just watched a video from the class blog, and it's supposed to be homework. anyway, after watching the video, i think that most of the points raised by the speakers, are actually and most probably not what most teenagers are actually looking for when writing a blog. In my opinion, blog is jut a trend, a fashion, and it is some sort of a passport for recognition within your own ring of friends. Most people blog (and I'm sure of it), only because their friends are doing it. So once again it all comes down to the old-age problem of peer pressure. simple as that. you could go to the streets and ask anyone why they blog, and the answer of having a presence among 16 networks or making it a photoalbum for your future family won't even come up. However they are right that it gives the user a presence among his or her peers, and yes, it is indeed, social oxygen.
